New Year, New Adventures! From Caribbean Sands to New Blogging Lands

Published 3 months ago • 2 min read

Hi Reader!

It's been a hot minute since I dropped by your inbox. With the arrival of the new year, there have been a lot of unforeseen changes, adventures, challenges, and projects!

One such adventure was a recent vacation to the Caribbean (and long overdue - my first time traveling abroad since pre-COVID.)

Since my return, I have been hard at work behind the scenes, having recently created a brand new niche blog that I'm very excited about!

I noticed that, while I still love ChatGPT for a myriad of things, I find myself logging into KoalaWriter more and more when it comes time to write blog posts because they keep making the tool easier and faster to use.

In fact, nearly all the posts on my new blog were written with this tool!

About a month ago, I did an updated video review of KoalaWriter, and although it's a positive review, I was frank about what I thought was good and what could use improvement.

One of the things I mentioned was the redundant "summary paragraphs" at the end of each section, which is by no means a deal breaker, but it did take time to go back and edit them out.

Well, since then, KoalaWriter has introduced a new feature called "Polish." With a click of a button, it takes the draft it created and refines it by:

  • Splitting up paragraphs into 1-3 sentences
  • Removing those pesky mid-article summaries
  • Reduces repetition
  • Simplifies complex sentences
  • Converts passive voice to active voice

I also like that you have control over how much polishing you want it to do: you can tick all the boxes or just some. For example, I could care less whether my blog post uses a passive voice or not, so I always leave that box unchecked.

When it's done polishing, you get two tabs at the top: one with the polished article and one with the original (so if there was a section from the original you liked better, you can still easily retrieve it.)

The best part is that the Polish feature is currently free to use for people on the professional plan or anyone who buys a Gold Credit Pack.

Yesterday, I sat down to write a 2600-word blog post with KoalaWriter, and the whole thing was written, edited, optimized, polished, internally linked, and live on my site less than 40 minutes later. 🤯

The best part? It was unique content based on my opinions and experience, thanks to the outline editor with input boxes for background information and custom instructions.

Check out KoalaWriter.

Sincerely,
Corrie

P.S. If you're curious about my niche site, I have a behind-the-scenes series going on in my AEI membership that pulls back the curtain on everything I'm doing! The membership also comes with a ton of ChatGPT tutorials, bonus trainings, and monthly livestream Q&A sessions.

Hey Reader, Happy Saturday! There have been a lot of changes to the online landscape in recent months, thanks to Google and its (un)Helpful Content Update. That's why I've always been a big fan of diversifying my online presence - not just to supplement traffic and income but to build a true audience that is outside the influence of third parties. I'm talking about building your own community through an email list and/or membership. One of the best ways to do that in 2024 is through a writing...

Hey Reader, One of the most crucial things you can do as a content creator - whether you're a blogger, YouTuber, TikToker, or Medium Writer - is to grow and nurture an email list. Why? Because your email list is pretty much the only marketing asset you truly own. Google traffic can dry up overnight. Pinterest traffic can drop off a cliff without explanation. Heck, even Medium could decide to shut down its platform or arbitrarily decide to ban Call-to-Actions in their articles. And you...

Hello Reader, A few weeks ago, ChatGPT launched custom GPTs - a beta feature for Plus users that's caused nearly as big a stir as the launch of ChatGPT itself just over a year ago. Why? Because it puts the power of AI technology in your hands - without needing to know how to code. Now, anyone can harness this technology to make a custom bot fine-tuned to a specific purpose. And that is a big deal for two reasons: You can now create your own bot that's better customized to your needs than the...
